Lookah down yonder

don’t forget the wonder

Jem’s treasures hidden in my room,

Boo Ridley left them hiding on a hole

Come, Scout let’s find some more

With Dill Harris let’s have some fun

and together let’s wander out of home.

Let’s find Tom Robinson’s street,

the one full of colored happy kids.

There’s something in the air

not only playing with Scout’s hair

Is something else, something dark

cuz Tom was just shot in the back.

Tried to fight was done Mr. Finch,

it was summer, it was hot, it was all green

Calpurnia made me cook the eggs

“you’re a girl” aunt Alexandra says

All I want is to see my dad on his chair.

The trial went longer, no way we’ll lose

Atticus did his best and the case was closed.

They thought Tom is only black

obviously something in him is bad

let’s send him to the closed jail to die.

For defending we almost lost our lives

his family was forgotten and left aside

mockingbirds don’t harm, just sing

is so good, so bad, I can’t forget a thing.

There’s a lesson to be learned,

you’ll have to hear the end

Tom and Arthur are the same

they’re the victims of the show

just some misunderstood souls

with the story we can learn to grow.
